Delicious Weather

I don't know how it has happened, but I am so glad it has.

Cool breezes have replaced the hot, humid air that once dominated our little town.

You can feel it, smell it, and taste it, fall is not far away.

What joy that brings my heart!

Our summer heat can be described in one word- oppressive.

I need to get my sleepy headed gals up, so we can enjoy another walk this morning.  It won't be easy since I opened their window early this morning, and let the cool north wind blow into their room.  They're all snuggled up and not stirring.

I can't believe it's August, and I've traded my iced lattes for hot coffee with a shot of my new favorite creamer, Southern Butter Pecan.

Not much to share this morning, as I have been wasting too much time redesigning the look of my blog.  I have to be careful, there are so many cute things out there to play with, and yes, one can lose track of time when doing so.

I pray that others are feeling relief from the heat wave that took hold of much of the mid-west & south this summer.

Gotta go grab a jacket, and get outside, I'm gonna go literally CHILL OUT, it's that cool outside.

Simply unbelievable!  Have a great August day everyone, I know I will!

A passage from Psalms 139:1-6, a delicious meditation on our Heavenly Father-

1 O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
3 You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether.
5 You have hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it.

Is that not delicious?  This is a feast for my mind, I love this passage.  What an indepth view of how intimately our God knows us.

The Table

I tried again, and this time it worked a little better for me.  My gal is too busy to snap a picture this morning.  So here it is, the table I mentioned in the previous post.  Hope to have pictures posted, after our breakfast bash tomorrow.

Right now we do not  have the right chairs to go with it, we're still looking for a really good deal.  I don't even care if they all match, we just want some good, solid, man-size, chairs.  My little, antique chairs just aren't that great.

Saturday Morning!

Today is going to be busy, in fact the past couple of weeks have been busy.  I've not had time to write in awhile.

This week hubby and I have been putting the finishing touches on our dining room table that HE built.  I wanted something really rustic looking, and VOILA!!!  That is exactly what it looks like.  I've tried my best to take some pictures to post on here today, and obviously my little camera just doesn't have a big enough flash to take a good picture in the dining room.  I'll have to wait until my sleepy-head photographer gal gets up, and have her get out her big Cannon w/ the great big ole' flash and take a good picture for me.  That room does not get much direct sunlight, so it looks kind of like a dungeon in the pictures I tried to take.  It doesn't look that dark in real life, just whenever I use my little...itty...bitty Kodak Easyshare to try and take pictures in there.   My photographer will save the day, as soon as she gets up...

Tomorrow morning, we're hoping to have the table full of good food (not burned or soggy or whatever else could go wrong with food while cooking) to feed my husbands co-workers and their families.  Thank goodness he now works for a much smaller company.  (I have a really big smile on my face as I type that).

So far, we are expecting 23, and for the menu-
Cheesy-Scrambled Eggs
Fried Potatoes
Sausage
Bacon
White Gravy
Chocolate Gravy
Biscuits
Blueberry Pancakes
Plain Pancakes
Fresh Fruit
Coffee
Orange Juice
Milk
Water

I do believe I better go and get my day started.  We've got a house to clean, and food to cook.  I know this is going to be a whole lot of fun!  I do hope we remember to take a few pictures to share.

Toodles friends, I pray you all have a very blessed weekend!
I know ours is looking good, with hot, crispy, bacon in my very near future!!!
