"And they call it..."

"...PUPPY LOOOOOVE!"

We're all smitten around here.

May I introduce to you-
Boone,

Ms. W's new little lab.

Mr. Farley has been hired to
be his babysitter.

We're not so sure he's as
smitten as the rest of us.

But at least Boone feels
safe in his presence.
Have a blessed day!

Where Is It?

I've looked here. and there.  and everywhere.

I've looked in this drawer and that one,
this one, that one, and that one..
in desks, the dresser, the buffet,
the china cabinet.

In baskets, folders,
storage places.

Bathroom cabinets.
and vanities.

Even under Mr. C's pile of
camouflage hunting clothes.

On top of the freezer, the dryer
the junk drawer in the utility room.

And I cannot find it.

But as I traversed through
our home, searching for it.

I found drawers that needed purging,
straightening and organizing.

All sorts of nooks and crannies that
needed my attention.

And so even though I still haven't found IT,
I have left a neat and orderly trail behind me
as I diligently searched for what I am needing.

I think this could be the concept
behind my new best-seller...
"How To organize Your Entire Home
in One Single Day!!!"

If I ever find it, I will let you all know,
but for now I'm going to go

and

open my sock drawer

and

behold the beauty of organization!

And share a funny picture.

If only I looked as cute as this gal at
the end of my day.

Oh if only...

To God Alone Be The Glory!

I want to share this Christ centered sermon for your edification, and to remind us all,
it's all about His GLORY!
Amen!

Through the power of God's Holy Spirit,
may we desire to grow
in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ!

A Blast From The Past

I thought I'd go back to one of my earlier posts, and share one of our favorite family memories.  This happens to be our first trip to our favorite place to hike, Lost Valley.  The same place we visited last Spring.

I hope you enjoy this old post!

And I'm hoping we don't get blown away.  The wind has been roaring all day long, and now into the night.  I know it's nothing compared to what Scotland experienced a short time ago.  But the sound of roaring wind just wears me out.  I'm ready for things to settle down.

Praying for a peaceful night!

Working With Mr. C

We've been hanging out in the "shop" working on our latest project.

We've been asked to build a table and benches out of reclaimed barn-wood for our newest customer.

It is BEA-U-ti-FUL WOOD!
Our customer is doing this in honor of his father, who built the barn when he was a teenager, and who has also passed on.  This table has huge sentimental value to our customer.  And we want to do our very best for him.  He wants as many of the authentic, rustic details preserved and not sanded out or covered up.

Beautiful and HEAVY!

Mr. C estimates the weight of this table being over 250 lbs.

It's solid as a rock, hence the nickname for this one
-"The Rock".

We're pretty sure we could dance on it and it wouldn't harm it a bit.

I love working side by side with Mr. C!

I can tell when he's getting tired,
and he can tell when I'm getting tired.
We watch out for one another.

These days he gets to see me all dressed up in my Behr insulated bibs, and hoodies.

My most visited places of business as of late are hardware stores and lumber yards.

Speaking of the hardware store, my last trip to our locally owned one, here in our little town, gave me quite a scare.  The older gentleman who runs the store is a little hard of hearing.  He keeps his Black Lab, named Judy, there in the store and she looks like she's about 13 yrs. old.  She is his alarm if anyone enters the store and he is not aware of their presence.  Let me tell you, Judy is very aware of your presence.  I thought we had become friends.  She let me pet her just a couple of months ago when I was in there.  But this time, WHEW-DOGGY, I must have woke the ole' gal from her noonday nap, and startled her bad!  She came bounding towards me growling and barking, I was afraid my life was O-ver!  Mr. B came to the front just in the nick of time to rescue me from her.  He reassured me, told me she wouldn't bite.  But, I'm not so sure about that anymore.  "Simmer down Judy!  I come in peace & in need, just needing some more wood screws, that's all..."

Just wanted to share our latest project with you all,
and explain why I haven't written since Christmas.

Busy times in the wood shop for Mr. C & I!
We'll share more pictures as we progress with this latest project.

Until then, may your January days be filled with
God's mercy and grace, His peace and love!
