So Sorry...

I've been so busy.  I haven't had time to visit with blog friends lately.

I haven't even had time to write.

I have things I want to share, but today isn't the day for that.

So, I'm going to share an older post.
One that I wrote back in the early days of this blog.
One that will give you all a little more insight into this abnormal family of ours.
*BIG SMILE*
What exactly is normal anyway? he he

Hope you enjoy this post from the past-
Misty Morning, Spring Is In The Air

And I hope you all don't think we're too crazy
after reading about one of our favorite Spring traditions.

I miss you all, and hope to catch up with you soon!
I promise to make my rounds, after I get caught up on
some things around here.

This week, one of my top priorities is to create some
very PINK decorations for a friend who is expecting a
baby girl, after having 9 boys in a row.
Their eldest is a girl, and now after 9 little brothers
she is going to be blessed with a little sister.
So the ladies at church are going to PINK
it up for her and her Momma!
What fun!
I hope to have some pics to share!

Hope you all have a very blessed day today!

Our Super Sunday

Super Bowl Sunday is such a huge event in the U.S.

But not to us.

We honestly had no idea who had made it
to the Super Bowl this year.

Our day involved-
spring water,
(a river fed by a mammoth spring)
(Google Mammoth Springs, AR
to learn more about Spring River)
wind,
down and fleece jackets,
cloudy skies,
salad shrimp,
crawdads,
trout,
and last but not least...

TASTYKAKES!!!

Mr. C has been working so much lately, he asked for a day of rest.  This is what he calls rest.  Trout fishing.

I was hesitant, cold wind tends to scare from wanting to stand beside an icy cold river, trying to catch fish.  But at the end of the day, once we were home, and we threw together a meal of fresh, pan-fried trout, fries, slaw and hush puppies, well one tends to forget how cold it was outside.

On our way up there I read aloud from Psalms chapters-76, 77, 78.  Feasting on God's word on our way, and then later feasting on the blessing of fresh fish at the end of our day.

And did I mention Mr. C was the only one to catch his limit?

I guess the girls and I were too busy catching crawdads and snacking on Tastykakes.

What did salad shrimp have to do with our day, you ask?
That was our bait, one of the best baits for trout fishing, for those of us who are not "fly-fishermen".

Have a blessed day!

Why Limit Him?

"How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!"

"If I could count them, they would be more in number than the sand. When I awoke, [could I count to the end] I would still be with You."

Psalms 139:17-18 (Amplified Bible)

Our blessings from God are infinite, we cannot number them!

His thoughts toward us, more in number than the sand...
what an incredibly, magnificent truth to ponder as I drift off to sleep tonight.

His mercies are new each morning!

May your hearts be comforted
resting in His infinite truth.
