Stop What You're Doing...

Wherever you are...

whatever it is you are doing...

I want you to stop.

I want you to either call, text, email,
or if your spouse is in the room with you...
stop right now and take time to
tell them how much you love them.

Tell them how thankful you are that
God has allowed the two of you
this time He has given you so far.

Do it now.

None of us knows what a day can hold.

None of us are promised a
"tomorrow".

Cherish the gift God has given you
in your spouse...
today and always.

I write this in honor of a very dear friend
who lost her husband just yesterday
in an extremely tragic accident.
Please keep her and her daughter
in your prayers.

What's the Problemo???

Greetings friends!

Just wanted to let you all know,
I've been to most of your blogs this morning, and
am having trouble leaving comments on some.

Don't know what's wrong, but I do hope it's fixed soon!

Tonight we attend our former home-school groups' graduation,

and ohhhh,

let me tell you...

Kleenex is a must on nights like this.
AND waterproof mascara.

For each graduate, both parents are given
the opportunity(of a lifetime)
to share from their hearts, about the home-school journey:
what they've seen God do in their lives over the years.

It is a time of reflection and rejoicing!
And it's good!
A pulling-on-the-heart-strings, wiping-tears-kind-of-good!

And also tonight,

I'll be able to deliver these goodies to a
sweet, young Mama, who grew up w/ our gals.
(hand-painted by Mrs. C)
She's really cute, and so are her baby boys!!!

We've known her since she was only 4.
(...time flies...)
(did you know that?)
She married a year and 4 mos. ago,
and God blessed her and her husband with twin boys, last fall.
Born prematurely, but are doing wonderfully!

Many things to celebrate and thank God for tonight!

I pray you all have a very blessed weekend
in whatever the Lord gives you to do
or brings your way.

Hopefully soon, whatever is wrong will be repaired,
and I'll be able to comment again.

Cabinet Cleaning Leads To...

Yesterday the weather in Our Little Town
was sublime!

I opened windows and
let the sunshine and cool breezes filter in.

And set myself to cleaning.

Somehow in the midst of all that cleaning,
I stumbled upon things that I had forgotten about;
half started projects and other random items
I hadn't decided on how or where
I would use them.

And all of that led to this-

finding the glue gun and some black wire
 at the bottom of tote
that have been MIA for months.

Finding random frames and a candle holder
that's never been
just right for anywhere I've tried to use it.

Out you go, to the yard for
some sprucing up!

Fresh paint, spray paint that is,

Cutting out hearts...

Combining elements
from around the house
to make...
a new memo board!

And last but certainly
not least...
 the candle holder/wall decor
thingy finally found a home.
Home making, keeping home, because
I am a keeper of our home.
Being thrifty, using what I have on hand,
re-purposing old things,
making them into something new.
Doing what I can to make our home
a haven,
for those I love most!
This is what cabinet cleaning can lead to!
Have a blessed day!
Titus 2:5
"To be self-controlled, chaste, homemakers, good-natured (kindhearted), adapting and subordinating themselves to their husbands, that the word of God may not be exposed to reproach (blasphemed or discredited)."
